Overview: This area is a basic tutorial for the player, to familiarize you with camera control, movement, dialog, and combat. Follow Captain Basch's orders and you should do fine.
Aerial Gardens
Enemies: N/A
Treasure: N/A
Guide: Basch walks you through camera movement, walking, dialog, and activation. Thrilling.
Inner Ward
Enemies: Imperial Swordsmen, Air Cutter Remora
Treasure: N/A
Guide: Basch gives you a brief explanation of the combat system, then you get to test your mettle against a lone Imperial. After a wack, your comrades join in. Head north across the ward and you'll run into your first boss battles. What, already? Yes, that quickly. Second enemy in the game. And it's a jet fighter.
Strategy: Scary as it looks, you can't mess this one up. Your allies have an unlimited supply of Potions, and are generous enough to use them frequently. I recommend hanging back and using Thunder, which will do a fair bit more damage than your normal attack. Odds are, you'll never even be targeted. However, should you enter the melee, the only attack you need to watch out for is the Remora Strike, which can do about 80 damage and it hits a decent area. Once its HP hits forty percent, Captain Basch steps forward and finishes the job.
Guide: After the Remora flees, a pack of Imperials enter the area. They're not much of a threat, but if you run back and forth across the ward, you can make an unlimited number of them spawn and attack you. Head north and enter the next area when you're done antagonizing them.
Lower Apartments
Enemies: Imperial Swordsmen, Imperial Magus
Treasure: 2 Chests(Middle room, uppermost hallway)
Guide: Once again, there are an unlimited number of Imperials in this area, but now they have mages. Still not much of a threat at this point, the mages will do little besides occasionally cast Fire. Pick up the two chests in this area and then head up the stair.
Upper Apartments
Enemies: N/A
Treasure: N/A
Guide: Reks, Save Crystal. Save Crystal, Reks. Head on up the stairs when you're done.
The Highhall
Enemies: Imperial Swordsmen
Treasure: N/A
Guide: Reks is left to fend off three Imperial Swordsmen by himself. This battle, while simple, is probably harder than the Remora Boss battle. Once again I recommend using Thunder to bring a swordsman down to critical HP, then a single hit will dispatch them. You should still have all your Potions, and Cure to fall back on. Once Reks is done playing the hero, sally forth and watch the exciting cutscenes to come.
