Giruvegan/ Gate of Earth
Guide: At the crossroads you'll find a welcome Teleport Crystal. You might want to head back to civilization, sell some loot, buy some Remedies, etc. When you're ready to continue, just keep heading west. You'll come to a large Way Stone, so make use of it.
Giruvegan/ Gate of Water
Enemies: Daedalus
Guide: When you enter the area, you'll get a small cutscene that shows you the creature up ahead. I recommend Haste, Protect, and Bravery. If you have any armor that Absorbs/Resists Dark Element, put it on. When you're ready, approach him.
Strategy: This battle is a straightforward test of strength, so Bravery goes a long way, as he doesn't have a significant HP value. He likes to open with Haste, so Dispel early in the battle. He'll stick to two methods of damage: Darkra, which isn't too powerful, and regular attacks, that aren't too worrisome until he gets in critical HP, and begins getting high combos. At anywhere below half health, a decent Quickening chain will wipe him out. However, you should make an attempt to Steal, as you might get the rare Damascus Steel Loot, needed for the Tournesol.
Guide: After he's defeated, a Way Stone appears, so head on.
Giruvegan/ The Trimahla Water-Steps
Enemies: Behemoth, Gargoyle Baron, Mythril Golem, Vivian, Daikon Entite (During Heavy Fog)
Treasure: There are two treasure chests here that, once opened, will never respawn, however you're most likely going to get an Elixir, or a Mega-elixir if you have the Diamond Armlet. The first is west from the Way Stone at the start of the area, the second is at the dead-end in the middle of the area, where the Vivians appear.
Guide: Your goal in this area is to get to the lowest, westernmost point. To do so, you'll need to open some of the large energy barriers that block your way. The device to open Gate Avrio is on the same platform as the Gate, and hard to miss. But to open Gate Chthes, you'll have to find the Chthes Gate Stone on the far southern platform, guarded by a pair of Mythril Golems. Once Gate Chthes is open, continue heading down and west. The Behemoths are weak to Ice, and Blizzaga should be ripping them apart. The Gargoyle Barons aren't too much of a hassle, but they like inflicting Blind, Stop, and occasionally Sap. The Vivians of course are dangerous if they use Bad Breath, Cloying Breath, or their new Putrid Breath, but these Vivians can also inflict Stop. Oddly enough this area has weather, and during Heavy Fog, Daikon Entites can appear, so be wary.
When you reach the lowest, westernmost point, you'll find two Mythril Golems. Fight them, then approach the edge of the platform, and a path of green energy will appear, leading south off-map. Head down it to the next area.
Giruvegan/ The Aadha Water-Steps
Enemies: Behemoth, Gargoyle Baron, Mythril Golem, Vivian, Daikon Entite (During Heavy Fog)
Treasure: The first platform beyond Tychi Gate contains a chest.
Guide: If you think of this area as sections of concentric circles, your goal is the innermost, lowest section. Heading down from the entrance, you'll find the Paron Gate Stone, and Gate Parelthon. So don't be surprised when activating the Gate Stone doesn't lower the barrier. Head down the other path, and after descending a few levels, you'll find the Parelthon Gate Stone. Activate it, then head further down and you'll find your path blocked by Gate Tychi. Head back up and west to find the Tychi Gate Stone and open it, then back track and descend to the lowest levels of the area. Once again two Mythril Golems wait in front of the energy bridge that leads to the next area.
Giruvegan/ The Haalmikah Water-Steps
Guide: You get a short cutscene when you enter here. That's a huge rock, that's for sure. Head on in, through the Bulwark Chronos, and make use of the Save Crystal. Then head to the next area through the Bulwark Hemera.
Giruvegan/ Gate of Fire
Enemies: Tyrant
Guide: So...where to go from here? Head to the middle of the area and walk off the platform towards the huge rock, but before you enter the large platform at the end of the energy bridge, I recommend Shell, Haste, Bravery, equipping any Ice-Element weapons you might have, and making sure your mage has Foe: ice-weak - Blizzaga Gambit active. When you arrive, someone comes to keep you company.
Strategy: With your mage on Blizzaga this Tyrant will be taking huge hits to HP every turn. You might also notice that you cannot use Technicks here, so obviously there's nothing to Poach or Steal. With Haste and Bravery, your melee characters should be keeping up with your mage, and with Shell on, his Firaga, Thundaga, and Blizzaga should be manageable, however there's little you can do about Piercing Gravija, which will take you down to 1/4th total HP when he casts it. Curaja your way back into the fight. If you feel adventurous, you could summon Mateus, otherwise, just keep the pressure on, and throw your mage an Ether if the need arises, since you can't Charge.
Guide: Once defeated, a Way Stone appears on the platform, make use of it, and you will appear in the next area.
