I'm Mr. 24 and I write guides for video games. I recommend clicking on the Table of Contents for the game you want, or using the Magic Search Box, rather than sifting through the posts for the one you need.

Final Fantasy XII - 22 - Mosphoran Highwaste

Overview: With the Imperial guards gone, you can now forge north into the Mosphoran Highwaste. The area has a lot of small maps, some of which cannot be accessed during your first visit, and it has a number of Chocobo paths, though none that require you renting a Chocobo to progress in the story. It is also full of traps in choke points, so it's paramount that you have a constant Libra Gambit (You should have this at all times anyway) or at least a constant Float Gambit.

Mosphoran Highwaste/ Southern Skirts
Enemies: Worgen, Slaven Wilder
Guide: Beware of traps! The Worgens and Slaven Wilders are pushovers, though the Worgens will sometimes Berserk themselves for extra damage. Also, if you have the Hunter's Monograph, or Poach the Worgens, you can get Throat Wolf Blood, a loot that sells for impressive amounts of gil.

Mosphoran Highwaste/ Summit Path
Enemies: Worgen, Humbaba, Wary Wolf (Rare Game), Fire Elemental (When Sunny)
Guide: The Humbabas, while humerous sounding, are a much bigger threat than the Worgens. Thankfully, there is usually only two of them here. Check the nooks and crannies, this area has a decent number of chests hidden away. I recommend leaving by the north west exit, as that takes you to the Babbling Vale, a rest area with shops, save points, etc.

Mosphoran Highwaste/ Babbling Vale
Enemies: N/A
Treasure: A chest near the entrance to the Skyreach Ridge, may contain an Embroidered Tippet.
Guide: Stock up, Save up, check out the springs. Which are useless now, but later, as you might guess, can be used for some interesting side-quests. To progress in the story, take the north west exit again, to the Trail of Sky-flung Stone.

Mosphoran Highwaste/ Empyrean Way
Enemies: Worgen, Grey Molter (Rare Game)
Guide: Small area, filled with too many Worgen. Not much to do here, yet.
Mosphoran Highwaste/ Rays of Ashen Light
Enemies: Slaven Wilder, Clay Golems
Treasure: A chest in the northern section of the area may contain a Burning Bow.
Guide: You will find some wild Chocobos here, and if you have any Gyshal Greens (Dropped from the Chocobos on the Ozmone Plain if you want to get some, or purchased from the Clan Provisioner when you rank is high enough) you can ride them, opening up some of the otherwise inaccessible areas on the small maps that surround the Babbling Vale. Also, if you tangle with the Clay Golems and there are Slaven Wilders nearby, the normal docile Slaven will turn aggressive and join the fight.

Mosphoran Highwaste/ Trail of Sky-flung Stone
Enemies: Python, Vulture, Seeq Cateran, Fire Elemental (When Sunny)
Treasure: A chest in the southern section of the area may contain a Headband.
Guide: A few interesting points on this map. First, I would switch over to your ranged weapons, as the map is dominated by Vultures. Second, this is one of the few places in the game where you can fight non-Imperial humanoids. There are two Seeq Caterans here, and they can be bothersome. They inflict Berserk and Immobilize. Third, at the far eastern end of the map, you'll find some Weathered Rocks. Knock them down to make a path between Rays of Ashen Light and Trail of Sky-flung Stone. Head out of the northern exit.

Mosphoran Highwaste/ Northern Skirts
Enemies: Humbaba, Vulture
Treasure: A chest in the northern section of the area may contain a Pirate's Hat.
Guide: If you accepted the Atomos Hunt and talked to the petitioner, you may notice the Atomos here. It's just twenty feet high and covered in crystals. However, if you didn't, then simply forge ahead. You might want to keep your ranged weapons equipped, there are a number of Vultures here too.

Mosphoran Highwaste/ Halny Crossing
Enemies: N/A
Guide: There's nothing on this map. Literally. I was a bit surprised myself. It smacks of a boss fight area. Oh well. Head on through and enter the Salikawood.
