Final Fantasy XII - 6 - Royal Palace of Rabanastre

Overview: Once you're in, there's no turning back. But don't be alarmed, they make it sound much more worrisome than it is. The Palace itself has nothing in the way of combat, but it does have a few puzzles.

Treasure: DO NOT TOUCH THE CHESTS IN THE CELLARS, ONE OF THEM, IF TOUCHED, WILL PREVENT YOU FROM GETTING THE STRONGEST WEAPON IN THE GAME. There is no other notable treasure.

Guide: Grab the map from the urn and save before heading into the Cellars.

Guide: Head north to towards the gathered crowd. You will see a Seeq that takes an interest in your criminal desires. With his help, sneak past the guard. When the guard starts moving, go north to the wall beneath the stair, then run along it and you should be fine. Once more: TOUCH NONE OF THE CHESTS.

Royal Palace/ Lower Halls

Guide: Now here's a fun puzzle. It isn't too difficult, and I recommend trying to solve it on your own, but if you're in a hurry or stumped, here's how to do it: There are guards placed at various points around the map, at intersections of various corridors. Your goal is to move them around by yelling, and clear a way to the Lion Signet Tile, and then the secret entrance. To begin, open up the map and look at the area you're in. There are two north/south corridors that I'll call left for the western one, and right for the eastern. Then there are four east/west corridors that I'll call 1 through 4 from top to bottom. You begin the puzzle at the intersection of Left and 3. There is a group of guards north of you at Left and 2, a group further north at Left and2, and a group of guards at Right and 3. Remember, if you're caught, you must start over.

Step 1: Call the guards from Right and 3 towards Left and 3. Run south to Left and 4.

Step 2: Call the guards from Left and 3 towards Left and 4. Run east to Right and 4. (Note, the guards at the far right of this map do not move and are not part of the puzzle.)

Step 3: Call the guards from Left and 4 towards Right and 4.

Step 4: Now we work on the guards at Left and 2, call them south to Left and 3. Run east towards Right and 3.

Step 5: In the middle of east/west 2, there is the Lion Signet Tile, use your Crescent Stone. The secret entrance is now your goal.

Step 6: Call the guards from Left and 1 to Left and 2. Run east.

Step 7: Now loop around and head to the far western end of east/west 1, and here's the secret entrance. All done!

Royal Palace/ Secret Passage

Guide: No mini-map here, but with one corridor, how can you get lost? From your starting position, head due west. When you reach a dead end, look to your left for a switch. Then round the corner to the north and investigate the Suspicious-looking Wall. Enjoy the cutscenes.

Royal Palace/ The Garden Stairs

Guide: Nothing much to do here, just run up the stairs towards the next area.
